WRC 10 is the twentieth instalment of the series of rally games licensed by the World Rally Championship. This time, the developers have taken care not only to modernise the driving model and include all the teams taking part in the competition, but also to add an anniversary historical mode.
WRC 10 is the twentieth installment of the official racing game series signed by the World Rally Championship (WRC), and the 10th in a series published by Nacon (formerly Bigben). The game , developed by KT Racing studio under Nacon's aegis, is a kind of anniversary of the series as well as the competition itself, the 50th edition of which is scheduled for 2022.
WRC 10 is a classic rally game in which we compete in the title events. This includes the WRC class, as well as WRC 2, WRC 3 and WRC Junior. We get a choice of 52 teams taking part in real competition in the 2021 season, we can also create our own team and lead it to victory. In addition, the game includes a few dozen classic cars (some previously unavailable, such as Peugeot 205 T16, Citroen DS3 and Toyota Celica).
The rally calendar has been updated and special stages have been added in several countries that were not present in the 2020 season: Croatia, Estonia, Spain, Belgium, and Greece (the last two have been added to the game in post-release updates). In addition, several historical routes in former rally locations, such as New Zealand, have been included.
An important new feature in relation to WRC 9 is the car paint editor, which can be used in career mode. In addition to this, the developers have gently improved the physics engine, focusing on simulating cars in areas such as aerodynamics, braking and turbocharging. The result is a more realistic driving experience - one that still places WRC somewhere between arcade and simulation games (albeit with the latter in favour).
As in previous installments, the hallmark of WRC 10 remains the career mode, in which we participate in successive seasons, gradually advancing to higher and higher classes. In addition to racing, team management tasks await the player - hiring staff for various positions and taking care of their condition or doing development research.
A new feature is the anniversary historical mode, in which we take part in time trials inspired by important events from the history of the World Rally Championship. There's also multiplayer with a variety of gameplay options, including the co-op mode introduced in WRC 9, in which one player takes on the role of a driver and another as a pilot.
As every year, KT Racing studio has taken care to upgrade the 3D graphics. However, as in WRC 9, the developers focused more on authentic car audio.

WRC 10 Review - Nacon’s Penultimate Chance to Beat Codemasters
Have you heard that Codemasters is taking over the WRC licence in 2023? This means WRC 10 is probably the penultimate title in the series from Nacon and KT Racing. Will these games be ed with nostalgy? I believe so, despite their flaws.

KT Racing celebrates 50 years of WRC with a generous, enjoyable package - even if some old problems persist.
ZTGD: 7.5 / 10 by Ken McKown
WRC 10 is a game where fans will notice the tweaks and additions, while casual fans will ask why upgrade? This is common among games that focus on specific sports and genres. There is enough here though for diehards to consider upgrading. I am not thrilled that some of the interesting content is locked behind DLC, but even with that hangup the tweaks and additions make this version a worthy successor. This entry won’t change anyone’s opinion of the realistic rally genre, but for those that enjoy it, there are few better options on the market.
Screen Rant: 3.5 / 5 by Rob Gordon
WRC 10 is an extremely fun game with a few caveats around the amount of changed content from last year's entry. It's not a must-buy for those who own WRC 9 unless they are a rally fan desperate for the new stages for the 2021 season or the updated liveries, as the anniversary additions are the only major update from last year. However, whose who don't own WRC 9 but who are interested in rally racing will see this as the most comprehensive official WRC game to date, with lots to enjoy and plenty of hours' worth of entertainment to be found across its various modes.
