Yesterday for PC, AND and iOS is a point-and-click adventure psychological thriller game by Spanish studio Pendulo Studios, known for such productions as Hollywood Monsters, The Next Big Thing and the Runaway series. Several months after the release for PC, AND and iOS, the game was also released for mobile devices.
Yesterday is set in New York and its story begins with a series of brutal murders of homeless people. Another plot involves mysterious Y-shaped scars that appear on the hands of people, who seem to have nothing else in common with each other. You play as the amnesiac John Yesterday, who's trying to learn about his own identity and also to find out the intentions of the people he's surrounded with.
Yesterday for PC, AND and iOS is a typical adventure game and so it is mostly focused on exploring locations, talking to NPCs, gathering items and solving puzzles. Newbies can also use the hint system to help them complete the game.
This time the developers have abandoned the humorous style and instead produced a grim thriller game, although the visuals are still cartoonish. However, the style is more serious than in the Runaway trilogy or The Next Big Thing.
