Unlocking Bakumatsu Adventure
To play Bakumatsu Adventure mode, you must first beat the game on any difficulty level. You will also have to make a final save - it will be the basis for starting the game in this mode. However, Bakumatsu Adventure also allows you to play from scratch.
After the first playthrough, the Bakumatsu Adventure mode will be added in the main menu, along with other new features. After selecting this option, you will be able to decide whether you enter this mode with everything you have gained during the game or start from scratch. It all depends on whether you decide to use the final save.
How Bakumatsu Adventure works
Bakumatsu Adventure is the equivalent of an endgame in RPGs. It's a mode in which you don't follow the plot, but simply travel the world and spend time on side activities. You already have access to everything, even if you choose not to use the end save.
If you don't use a final save, literally everything will be reset. The protagonist's level will revert to 1, and all Diligence Reports and Completion List achievements will be reset. You also won't get extra 200 Ryo for completing the game.
After starting the game, the only thing left to do is explore the world and enjoy additional content without worrying about story quests. You have access to everything: side quests, mini-games, the opportunity to make friends, fight opponents, and also take care of the farm.
