Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo Announced by Microids
Pendulo and Microids have announced Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo. It will be an adventure game inspired by the movie Vertigo. The release is expected before the end of 2021.

Known from adventure games like Blacksad: Under the Skin, the devs at Pendulo announced their next game on Saturday. Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo, as the work is titled, was inspired by the classic movie Vertigo directed by the master of suspense in 1958. The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE, XSX|S and Switch in late 2021. Below you can watch its first trailer made available by the publisher, Microids.
The game's card on Steam reads that the plot of Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo will focus on writer Ed Miller, who emerged unscathed from a car accident. No one was found in the remains of his car found in the depths of Brody Canyon in California, although Ed is certain he was traveling together with his wife and daughter. The writer will try to discover what really happened that day.
In total, we're supposed to get to know the stories of three characters, and each of them will shed new light on the main story, as well as flashbacks that will help us distinguish the truth from lies. The creators assure that narration in Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo will be "a nod to the visual and writing techniques used in thrillers". One of the developers, Josue Monchan, itted that it will reflect the workshop of the famous director, and his aforementioned work, Vertigo, is not the only point of reference for the developers.
“Vertigo is not our only frame of reference. For instance, the fact that therapy is at the core of the narrative echoes Spellbound, and some characters resemble protagonists from Rebecca, Psycho, and many more.”
So it seems that fans of classic noir cinema have something to look forward to. Microids, currently ed away in May.
