As RuneScape Dragonwilds has entered Early Access, many players wonder how the server infrastructure looks like. Let's check the max number of players and possibility of having dedicated servers.
Probably most of us have at least heard about Enshrouded. Of course, a very important aspect of those games is online co-op element. How will it look like in Dragonwilds? What is the max number of players? Can we expect dedicated servers to become available? Let’s find out.
Dedicated servers and max players limit in RuneScape Dragonwilds explained
For some games it’s enough to have a well-known brand in the title to immediately garner attention and “RuneScape” is definitely one of them. Jagex continues to experiment with new gameplay mechanics (after they romanced with cards in Chronicle RuneScape Legends), thus they have created Dragonwilds, a title in RuneScape universe that resembles the most popular survival productions of the recent years. However, there is a social aspect in the heart of any of those games, so it’s important to know the max number of players that you can take on an adventure with you and check if dedicated servers are a possibility.
In this production you can invite up to 4 players on a peer-to-peer player hosted servers. However, that doesn't mean that the dedicated servers that some fans ask for are not coming. The s on the official Discord have informed that there are plans to make them available at some point down the road. We have to keep in mind that for now Dragonwilds is in Early Access on Steam with no clear date as to when it will reach version 1.0, as the devs state that it will stay in EA for “As long as it takes!”. Despite the fact that this game is available on Steam, it still requires Epic Games Services to play online.
