It shouldn't be surprising that getting gems is problematic. However RuneScape Dragonwilds appears to take gathering Sapphire, Red Topaz, Jade and Opal to extremes. Here you will learn some extra info about those.
It appears that Dragonwilds was successful. Tens of thousands of players (via SteamDB) are exploring the continent of Ashenfall to gain power and dispose of the Dragon Queen. To do so, a lot of preparation will be required by building more and more intricate buildings, contraptions and crafting gear to increase your and your companions’ strength. Gems are necessary ingredients on the path to growth, yet they seem incredibly rare to find. Is there anything that can make it easier to obtain Sapphire, Red Topaz, Jade and Opal? Getting gems (Sapphire, Red Topaz, Jade, Opal) in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Gathering resources is at a core of every survival-craft game. The situation is no different in the case of RuneScape Dragonwilds. However, many players report issues with obtaining specific ingredients – gems. Everything shows that getting Sapphire, Red Topaz, Jade and Opal is a challenge. How to get them then?
The title uses specific RNG mechanic for getting gems. While mining other ores, there is a chance that a precious stone will drop. To get the jewels, you will have to get the special mining perk called Gem Prospector (lvl 16) and excavate the following ores:
- Tin / Copper - Opal
- Gold - Sapphire
- Silver - Red Topaz
- Iron - Jade
While it seems that obtaining Opals is not a big feat, other gemstones are way more problematic to get. Sadly, everything shows that there is just a really low drop rate of those. Many fans are complaining that they haven’t got any Jades even after mining more than a thousand iron. Others claim that they have retrieved around 300 gold ores before one Sapphire.
As this task is really mundane, you can make it a bit easier by using rocksplosion spell that will allow you to expedite your mining efforts. Many players report that they have found their games that way. Another method for making the mundane work more manageable is to use consoles, they won’t be able to you just yet.
