AMD With Record Earnings in 2020
AMD reported strong revenue increase in 2020. The emphasis on remote working and the resulting high demand for electronics are the effects of the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

AMD published financial results for the fiscal year 2020. The manufacturer reported revenue 45% higher than previous year - it amounted to $9.76 billion, which is $3.03 billion more than in 2019. It managed to make a profit of $2.49 billion (based on GAAP), while a year earlier AMD earned "only" $341 million. It is worth mentioning that in the fourth quarter, revenues recorded a 53% increase over the same period of 2019, bringing the company $3.2 billion ($1.78 billion in GAAP profit). It proved to be a record year for AMD.
Such good financial results can be attributed to the on-going pandemic and the resulting emphasis on remote work mode. Also not without significance were the launches of new products - Radeon RX 6000 (RX 6900 XT) and Zen 3 generation Us, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which use AMD chipsets. However unsuccessful this year seems for many, not everyone will agree. Too bad new GPUs are still so hard to buy...
