Apparently, even half of the Assassin's Creed: Shadows devs have never worked on games before. This may raise some concerns but also hopes.

Even the head of the Assassin's Creed brand realizes that the devs "only have one shot."

AC: Shadows in the hands of new employees

At the end of October, the External Developer Summit event took place, featuring Marc-Alexis Coté, the executive producer of the Assassin's Creed series. During the conversation, he conveyed one particularly interesting piece of information. Many new employees are expected to work on Shadows.

I’ve noticed since the pandemic, we have a lot of juniors in our teams. Probably half the team that’s building Assassin’s Creed is building a game for the first time.

This news may be surprising for many people. Asg such an important brand to employees who have never developed a game before seems to be quite a risky decision. Changes in teams and introducing new are a natural part of the process, but half is a big part of the whole.

So this is another piece of information that may raise some concerns about the quality of Shadows. On the other hand, new developers can cope with their tasks better than veterans and have some fresh ideas to present.

We will find out whether this will actually be the case on February 14, when Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
