Baldur’s Gate 3 is a hit. Of course, it is not a surprise, as hundreds of thousands of people awaited this title. Many players bought it for its option to play with friends. However, some of them have problems with ing multiplayer, especially with custom characters. In this guide we will talk about it.

Baldurs Gate 3 – custom characters vs ing multiplayer

While starting a new game, you have an option to create a character or pick one of the existing ones. However, if the game is in session the problem arises – if someone s your gameplay, they can’t take control of the original characters. If there are no player characters, they have to create their own custom one. It arises some problems because you can’t remove this new addition to the team from the party. As of now, the only way to undo this is to load the save.

Problems with ing multiplayer session in BG3

Taking away the problem with custom characters, players do not have many issues with ing others. If you do, check versions of the game. If they are different, problems may arise.

What is more, it is always a good idea to check technical aspects like internet connection or save compatibility.

How to play multiplayer in BG3

To play custom character you have to create a multiplayer session (from the main menu) and create together your own adventurers.
It is also possible to someone’s single-player playthrough. You can allow it from the Session menu. However, your friend will not be able to with a created adventurer.
