Destiny 2 With Shadowkeep Will Take up to 165 GB
Developer Bungie informed on Destiny 2's Steam page that Destiny 2 with the Shadowkeep expansion will take up 165 GB in total. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 installations will be similar in size.
As we know from June, after splitting up with Activision, developers from Bungie gained full control over the Shadowkeep. Thanks to the official Steam website of the game, we learned that the add-on and the game will take up to 165 GB of HDD space. Bungie points out that this impressive number is not yet final (but will increase rather than decrease in the future).
Not only PC, but also PlayStation 4 and Xbox One s will have to face the challenge of finding free disk space. It is worth noting that even if we do not buy Shadowkeep and want to play only with the free-to-play version of the game, we will still have to the entire expansion, because it will be part of the title update. For comparison, currently Destiny 2 with all DLCs takes about 85 GB.
Bungie also provided specific information on transfering in-game PC profiles from Battle.net to Steam, which is due to start on August 20. To start the transfer of your profile, we will need to to this dedicated website. On August 21 the announced cross-save option will be launched, thanks to which we will automatically use our Destiny 2 on every available hardware platform (PC and consoles).
Destiny 2 debuted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017. More than 6 weeks later a PC edition was released, which was available only through the Battle.net service.
