FF16 without Denuvo?

A few hours ago, Square Enix released patch 1.03. According to a note published by the developers, the update only fixed minor bugs. However, players noticed that it's not all. Information about Denuvo has disappeared from Final Fantasy XVI Steam card. This is a fairly direct sign that this anti-piracy software was removed from the game.

Denuvo is one of the most effective DRMs available. It is very difficult to “disable” by unauthorized people, which effectively prevents piracy. So, many developers choose to implement this software in their games. Gamers don’t like this solution, as it is said to affect performance. However, it seems to be more common recently to implement Denuvo only for the first months to guarantee the highest possible profits around the time of release, while later the software is removed (often without big announcements). Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. So, it is likely that FF16 shared the same fate. However, it’s strange that developers didn’t announce it officially.
