First Star Wars strategy in 19 years reveals its secrets in early screenshots. announcement should make a better impression
The portfolio of one of the artists working with the Bit Reactor studio, responsible for a new RTS set in the Star Wars universe, has prematurely shed some light on this mysterious title.

The new game in the Star Wars universe "came out of the shadows" sooner than anticipated. Although we will have to wait until April 19 for official information about the new RTS set in this universe, we can already take a look at the first screenshots from this mysterious title, as the studio, founded by veterans of the XCOM series, experienced a small "leak."
Early version of the "Bruno" project
On the page of one of the artists from Bit Reactor, the studio co-responsible for the game (together with Respawn Entertainment), screenshots from an early version of the project, which goes by the codename "Bruno," have appeared. Based on the revealed graphics, it seems the title will be a tactical turn-based game with a partially isometric perspective, where we will guide a team of characters. The screenshots feature two Mandalorians and a droid fighting stormtroopers during a rescue mission (it's worth taking a closer look at the details). The early game interface suggests the possibility of using items such as thermal detonators and smaller combat droids.
Besides gameplay screenshots, the artist's portfolio features early versions of elements like the main menu and a HUB-like area, where options such as Armory, Holo-table, Special Operations, and Black Market can be found.
Even though the screenshots are from mid-2023, indicating they show an early version of the game, the core gameplay mechanics have likely stayed close to what will appear in the final product. The revealed materials also suggest that the title is being developed with next-generation consoles and PC in mind. The interface shows controller buttons, indicating the presence of versions for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It's also not possible to rule out a potential release on Switch 2.
We have to wait until April 19th for the official title reveal, when a special dedicated to the game will take place during the Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo. Strategy and Star Wars fans should keep their finger on the pulse. Even if the discussed leaks aren't particularly impressive for now, a lot has certainly changed in the "Bruno" project from 2023 to the present, especially in of visual presentation.
