A turn-based tactical game, created with the help from the former creative director of XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2. Star Wars: Zero Company allows us to lead a team of mercenaries during the Clone Wars. We send them on missions, develop the squad and hang out in our base of operations. Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment are behind the development.
Star Wars: Zero Company is a tactical game set in the Star Wars universe. This project is the result of a collaboration between Respawn Entertainment team and Bit Reactor studio. Although it is a debut work for the latter, it was led by Greg Foertsch, the creative director of such genre representatives as XCOM 2.
In Star Wars: Zero Company, we play as Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads the titular squad. We're talking about a team of mercenaries from the Clone Wars. They are make a living by carrying out assignments that throw them into various corners of the distant galaxy.
The essence of the gameplay here is to engage in turn-based battles with opponents. The team we lead consists of clone soldiers, Jedi knights, or robots. The characters we recruit are diversified in of preferred weaponry and combat skills, and consequently - fighting style.
This means that the key to success is to compose such a team, whose will complement each other. This is not the end, as the bonds created between individual characters unlock powerful synergies that can change the fate of the battle.
As we progress, we develop Hawks and the of his company, so that over time they can face increasingly greater challenges. Additionally, the game allows us to choose the protagonist's combat class and decide on his appearance.
Between missions, we go to our base, where we prepare for the next missions, including familiarizing ourselves with the intelligence data collected by our network of informants.
