Jacek Rozenek, an actor known to Polish players as the voice of Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher series, suffered a stroke that caused paralysis of the right side of his body and total loss of speech ability. Doctors fight to make sure that his body regains full functionality.

Jacek Rozenek, the actor known to Polish gamers mainly thanks to the iconic role of Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher series, suffered a stroke in mid-May, prior to which he fainted on a theater stage. The stroke caused almost complete paralysis of the right half of the actor's body, as well as a loss of speech. His condition has been described as serious. A Polish tabloid, Super Express, published footage on which Rozenek can be seen in a wheelchair. Moreover, the news outlet also reports that speech therapists strive to enable the actor to regain his ability to speak; he also undergoes rehabilitation of the paralized limbs.
It is a sad day for the gaming community in Poland, but we hope Rozenek will recover, and players will be able to hear his great performance in games again. Jacek Rozenek has voiced not only Geralt in The Witcher games, but is also known to players from his roles in Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, among others.
