Helldivers 2 received major update that takes the conflict to Super Earth
Arrowhead Game Studios released a major update to Helldivers 2. Heart of Democracy does something you'd expect - it takes the fight to Super Earth.

The developers of Helldivers 2 have released a major update called Heart of Democracy. The patch takes the war to Super Earth, the native planet of Helldivers, which has been attacked by the Illuminate faction.
The forces of the Illuminate managed to break through the defense of the Helldivers (they blew up Mars!) and reach Super Earth. As a result, players are tasked with defending the urban areas of the planet, fighting among skyscrapers and on city streets. New missions focus on repelling invasions, reclaiming territories, and activating planetary defense systems.
The update introduces a dynamic element of territory combat, which Arrowhead Game Studios compares to an "intergalactic tug-of-war," where control over areas can quickly change hands.
A new feature in the gameplay is also the appearance of allied units of the Super Earth Armed Forces (SEAF), which will the Helldivers in battle. Players will be able to give these units simple commands. At the same time, the devs emphasize the importance of protecting civilians in conflict zones, and they promise to penalize players for causing harm to civilian populations.
The release of Heart of Democracy is a continuation of recent changes in the game, including the introduction of a weapon customization system. They were supposed to prepare players for clashes with new types of Illuminate units, such as the Crescent Overseer or Fleshmob, which now also appear on Super Earth.
