House of the Dragon Filming Begins in April
The start date of filming for House of the Dragon has been announced. The work on the set of the Game of Thrones prequel will begin in April, this year.

We finally know when the production of House of the Dragon, the series being a prequel to Game of Thrones, will begin. Shooting will start on April 5, this year. The project will be filmed in Los Angeles, London, and a yet unspecified location in Spain.
The information was revealed via productionlist.com, which is the official website of the Film & Television Industry Alliance, designed to make it easier for the industry to track projects and look for employment opportunities.
A few months ago Casey Bloys, the president of HBO, gave an interview in which he stated that House of the Dragon is to debut in 2022. With shooting starting in April, there's a good chance those plans will come to fruition.

HBO ordered the whole ten-episode first season without making only a pilot first.
House of the Dragon is based on the book Fire & Blood written by George R.R. Martin, the father of the whole brand. The series will be set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will tell the story of house Targaryen.
In October, last year it was announced that Paddy Considine will appear in the series. Last month, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy ed the cast.
