A few days ago, Expedition 18 Relics was released as rewards for completing them). One of them, called Living Fossils, requires you to catch Bonefish. Let’s talk about how to find this creature.
How to catch Bonefish in NMS Relics expedition?
Bonefish is not a new fish, it was introduced in Update 5.10. In Expedition Relics, you must catch this animal to unlock the Living Fossils milestone. So, install a fishing rig and I will tell you where you have to go to find this creature.
In No Man’s Sky you can catch two types of this fish – uncommon Whispering Bonefish and legendary Bleached Bonefish. As you might expect, the first of these is much easier to find. It lives in deep water on all planet types. So, you must locate the water basin and descend to a depth of about 50u. However, you must do this at night to have a chance to catch it.
In the case of Bleached Bonefish, the situation is more complicated. You still need to go to deep water at night. But this time you must be on specific planets – this creature lives only in toxic biomes. Additionally, you should also use good quality bait like Bionic Lure while fishing.
Where to find Bonefish during Relics Expedition? There are many planets suitable for this task. Majority of players seem to recommend Ligard Prime in The Dig 3 rendezvous system, one of rendezvous point. If you can’t find a water basin deep enough, you can dig a hole yourself.
The Living Fossils milestone does not specify which of these species players have to catch. So, you can simply go for the more common Bleached Bonefish. When you complete this step, you will receive Hadal Core x 2 and Aquatic Treasure as a reward.
