The first step to unlock the secret boss in Deltarune Chapter 3
The guide below is as much spoiler free, as you can go. However, there will be some minor spoilers, as it is impossible to create the guide without revealing anything. Nevertheless, we will not tell you who you will face at the end, so don’t worry.
- Proceed with the game until you reach Tenna’s Game Show.
- Now, you need to get S score in the rounds (you don’t have to get S in all challenges, the overall score is important) or buy it from the Points Merchant for 1500 points.
- After getting the S score, you will be able to unlock the S door in the Green Room.
- Once there, enter Backstage (talk to the lady in front of the door) to reveal an old console. Leave the room to get the controller. Go back to the room once again and play the game.
- In the minigame, go South and walk until you reach the staircase. Thanks to that you will get the sword.
- Now, start killing the enemies to get experience and level up.
- In the eastern part of the map, there is a screen with cacti blocking your way. If your level is high enough, you will be able to destroy them and unlock the age further.
- Reach the max level and go back to the screen with the cacti (before the cave). Now, cut down the trees south of you. Repeat the process through a few screens until you reach the chest with the Ice Key.
The second step to unlock the secret boss in Deltarune Chapter 3
- Now, once again get an S rank and play the arcade game in the S area.
- Find your sword - go west, and north. It is in the cave.
- Next, “grind” until you reach level 2. Now you will be able to destroy ferns.
- Go to the screen with the lake, raft and ferns blocking the waterfall. Use the sword to destroy ferns and go up the river.
- Now, board the second boat and go northwest until you reach a white strap of land. Dock to it and go east and north (destroy the fern) until you reach the blue door with a symbol. You will be able to open it with the Ice Key.
- Max out your level and destroy “mushrooms” in the upper right corner of the map. You will meet a mage who will assist you.
- Use the mage to help you solve the puzzles (freeze enemies and push the buttons with crystals)
- When you stumble upon the maze, look at the mage. If you are heading the right path, your companion will follow you. If you are going the wrong way, they will stay in the middle of the room.
- Next, you will face another door, which will be unlocked with the Ice Key.
- In the dark room go north. You will see a bright spot – the Shelter Key
The final step to unlock the secret boss in Deltarune Chapter 3
- Once again, get the S rank and play the game.
- Go southeast until you reach the staircase. There you will find the sword.
- You will be teleported near the posts. Destroy them with the sword (kill your companions to level up).
- Follow the path and go down to the sewers. Kill the enemies. If you die, the game will spawn you right before the dungeon (hint: once faced with the mimicking ghost, press the button in the upper left corner, you will control the shadow. Then, go close to Kris).
- After maxing out the character, you will be able to destroy the bright blockade.
- Follow the path until you reach the shelter and open the door (you will meet someone on your way, a little bit of lore).
- Follow the path east.
- Fight the first secret boss.
- The combat is extremely hard, but you will respawn right before the room.
- After killing the boss, when you face the chest, go right, outside of the screen and “enter” the real Kris. Your “big” character will be able to open the chest and get the Shadow Mantle.
The secret secret boss in Deltarune Chapter 3?
- One of your characters must equip the Shadow Mantle. Otherwise, progress the game as usual.
- Defeat the major antagonist of the chapter and save the game. You will face the next one, a secret one.
- Your goal is to bring down the opponent’s health to about 80% to see an alternative cutscene. It is impossible without Shadow Mantle.
- If you are defeated, don’t worry. Just don’t finish the chapter and reload the game. The game will recognize your hard work and let you start from the fight after 3 attempts.
