I have played reworked Clash. This R6 Siege X operator has become even more risky to play
Clash will receive a remaster in the Y10S02 update to R6 Siege X. While she still has a CCE Shield, her abilities will work differently. So, let’s talk about these changes.

Ubisoft finally announced Y10S02 operator remaster during finals of Reload. So, who will receive changes? If you follow gossips and Dual Front beta, you probably already know. Who has disappeared mysteriously from the operator’s list during tests? Of course, our bellowed Clash. The only defense shield operator finally gets some attention. However, I’m not sure that the rework is as “overpowered” as some people claim (let's not fool ourselves, many of you just don't like shields and exaggerate their power). If you want to try reworked Clash yourself, a Test Server is already available. You can it right now as a separate game, but first read our article to be prepared!
Clash remaster in R6 Siege X explained
So, what changes has Ubisoft prepared for Clash? The list of novelties is quite long. In the first place, she will be able to sprint, crouch and vault with the shield equipped. This will increase her mobility notably. She can rotate in many different ways (windows won’t be your nemesis anymore). Moreover, now her CCE Shield is also deployable. Clash can put down her gadget and shoot from behind. Of course, she can also pick it up again.
On the other hand, her shield will be partially folded. So, enemies can try shoot her in a foot. It is not all, though. As you may already know, Nomad and Capitao are the counters for Clash. After the rework, she will be vulnerable to one more operator – Sledge. His hammer can force Clash to hide the shield. Additionally, electricity will receive a nerf and will no longer deal damage to enemies.
How to play new Clash in R6 Siege X
At this point, Clash is not designed to score kills. She is an anchor – her role is to block entry to the site and distract enemies. You can call her a operator.
When you play as Clash, you should hide the shield only as a last resort – for example when you are 1 vs 2 (or more). In this scenario, one of the opponents can easily flank you, so using a shield is risky. Your chances are better if you grab a gun.
When you are in a 1 vs 1 situation, you can keep your opponent at bay almost forever. First, try to slow down the enemy from distance by using electricity from the shield. When the enemy is close and hits your shield, you should simply move your mouse to the right. This will cover you.
Everything described above still applies to reworked Clash. However, her new version has better mobility. This allows her to rotate faster. It is a lifesaver when you have to go across the map, to hold a def.
One of the most noticeably changes is that Clash can put shield down and shoot from behind. This sounds good because you can be covered and still be lethal for enemies. However, you should keep in mind that in this case, the best gun to use is SPSMG9. This will guarantee decent range and damage. However, you have very limited ammo.
The main problem with Clash is how her CCE Shield is deployed. It takes so long that your enemy can easily flank you during the process. Additionally, the deployed gadget is destroyable. When you place it – it is enough for the opponent to use one grenade to get rid of your main ability (or just dash through it) and leave you with only a secondary weapon. And it's also worth ing that in most rounds you probably encounter Ash or Zofia. So, all Clash improvements cause additional risk for this operator.
