We have waited a lot for the update, as the previous version of the modification debuted in January 2024. The latest release of the project was numbered 5.5 and brings a ton of new features:
- The creator added regular allied Federation sectors to help you on your quest
- He also added Stargrove, a unique sector filled with never before seen hazards and dangers
- Redesigned all Federation ships with intricate new hulls
- There’s also a variety of of QoL changes, such as instant cloning out of combat, cruiser renaming mid-run, and extended ship information in the hangar.
- Last, but not least - a custom Multiverse tutorial was introduced, recommended for new players to help get to grips with mod’s mechanics.

If you never tried this mod you’re in for a treat. It serves as an unofficial add-on that powerfully expands the game's content. FTL: Multiverse offers several hundred new playable ships and previously unknown enemy units. It also strongly expands the list of weapon types, drones and upgrades. In addition, the diversity of the crew has been increased, introducing, among other things, unique abilities and special features, and interface improvements have been implemented. In addition, the modification expands the storyline with new characters, events and additional quest sequences with unique routes and endings.
