„Is this Last of Us Part 3 that we're doing?” Even actors working with Naughty Dog don't know anything about Intergalactic
Naughty Dog is very cautious about giving out information regarding its next game. The developers of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet are reluctant to share details even with actors who themselves don't know what they are working on.

The actors of Intergalactic don't know what they're playing in?
Stephen A. Chang recently did an interview with The Last of Us: Part 2 will play a certain character in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and its that he himself knows almost nothing about the project.
Last week, I started doing some work for the next Naughty Dog game. [...] What I know about it is probably as much as you guys, which I think is intentional - said Stephen A. Cheng.
Chang claims that Naughty Dog wants to keep all details related to Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet secret for as long as possible. Interestingly, even the actors involved in the project weren't sure what game they were working on at first. Chang's friend, who is also involved in the creation process of the title, thought it was The Last of Us: Part 3:
I saw the trailer [for the game], maybe a week before they released it. I didn’t really know what to expect. I have a friend who's working on the game too. She's like 'Is this Last of Us Part 3 that we're doing?' So we didn't even really know what we were getting into.
Naughty Dog's way of shooting
Scenes with actors in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet are to be shot in the same way as in The Last of Us: Part II. Actors don't have access to the entire game script or a specific storyline. Instead, they only do selected parts, so they don't know the whole context. Stephen A. Chang initially didn't even know the name of the character he was portraying.
You'd film in sections. You'd get pieces of the script. Sometimes it's not even chronological - stated Stephen A. Cheng.
The plot in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will probably be really significant, just like in all the big games from Naughty Dog. Developers can take the precautions mentioned above to protect themselves from potential leaks that could spoil the players' experience at launch. The release date of Intergalactic remains unknown, but unofficially it is said to launch after 2026.
