Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 introduces a clever feature that should be standard in open-world RPGs
One of the smaller but much-appreciated features in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is auto-follow. Players are surprised that so few games implement it.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is unquestionably a great title, as shown by the highly positive reviews from players. It consists of many successful solutions, including those smaller ones, which, although simple, prove to be extremely useful. One of such solutions is auto-follow.
If Henry is traversing the world with a character important to the quest during the game, the player can activate auto-follow with a single button. This is a very convenient solution that allows you to focus on dialogues without any problem, or simply ire the landscapes of medieval Bohemia.
Of course, this isn't a completely new feature in the world of games, and a similar option is available in Red Dead Redemption 2. Nonetheless, it still remains rare, which is a pity. This solution could easily appear in a much larger number of games, which would only benefit from it.
Many players also think so, as can be seen, for instance, in a Reddit thread dedicated solely to the auto-follow feature. The thread received more than 1,800 votes in , and those commenting on it express very positive opinions.
Completely agree. It's nice to just sink back into the story and enjoy it rather than play a mini-game of trying to stick close to someone.
So happy to hear that's been included. I've gone back to the first game after a break and this bothered me. Seems weird that it's not more widespread after RDR had this sorted in 2010.
The auto-follow feature is also proof that Warhorse, in the development process, cared not only about the best RPG mechanics, but also about aspects that at first glance seem trivial. In reality, however, they can have a very positive impact on the overall experience.
