Leak Reveals Ray-tracing Performance of Radeon RX 6800 XT
The leak published by the well-known website VideoCardz revealed the possible performance of the Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU in games with ray tracing.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- VideoCardz published a graph from AMD's presentation which shows the performance of the Radeon RX 6800 XT in ray tracing;
- In several popular games, launche in 1440p resolution, the card is expected to achieve an average of 67-95 fps.
VideoCardz has published a chart showing the possible performance of the Radeon RX 6800 XT GPU when using ray tracing. According to the website's editors, this is a slide from the presentation that will be shown tomorrow by AMD. The presented fps values in several well-known games suggest that the card has nothing to be ashamed of in this area.

Radeon RX 6800 XT is supposed to achieve an average of 70 fps of animation in Metro Exodus. In all cases except for Crysis Remastered, readings were taken with ray tracing set to "Ultra". (the "High" option was selected in Crytek's game).
The tests were carried out on a PC equipped with Ryzen 9 5900X U and 16 GB of DDR4 memory, in 2560x1440 resolution. It is worth noting that the indicated values were achieved without using advanced DLSS image reconstruction technique, for which Nvidia cards are known (AMD is still working on its own solution of this type, called FidelityFX Super Resolution).
It should be noted that the above chart has been prepared by the manufacturer - so it should be approached with caution. Reviews of the Radeon RX 6800 XT prepared by independent experts should appear as early as today, so we probably won't have to wait long for some details about the real performance of this GPU.
