Now that announced last year. So far, the developers have not spoiled us with reports on them.

The breakthrough came when Remedy presented its latest financial report. In the accompanying announcement, CEO Tero Virtala conveyed that "the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 have entered the development-readiness phase.".

At the same time, the company's helmsman stressed that Remedy has gained "clarity on the style and scope of the game," which is being worked on by an "extremely well-organized team." Virtala assured that thanks to the - fruitful - work so far, the company is not only excited about the project, but also confident in "its future success.".

Other Remedy Entertainment projects

The CEO also devoted some space to other games that Remedy is working on. From the information he provided, it appears that Control 2 is at the "proof of concept" stage. Virtala added that the company has very ambitious plans for the sequel to the 2019 game. The developers "have seen significant progress in both the design and development of the game," and this work will continue over the "next few quarters." The company is focused on checking "identified key elements before moving to the next stage and expanding the team."

The Control series will also get a spin-off with the working name of Condor, which will be a multiplayer game set in the same universe. Virtala reported that Remedy has moved "from the proof-of-concept stage to the development-ready stage." According to him, the team has gained "valuable information on live-service game development" and is able to create a title that "players will be able to engage in for years to come."

An update on the information was given to the most mysterious of all Remedy's projects - a free co-op game with the working name Vanguard. Virtala revealed that the studio, together with its publishing partner, is "defining the next stages of the project." The companies' goal is to "complete the proof-of-concept stage by the end of the year."
