In what seems like an accidental leak on the PlayStation Store, the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater might have been revealed for this year.
In what seems like an unfortunate accident, the release date for the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater may have been leaked. Earlier today, IGN spotted a change to the PlayStation store page’s release date. Previously, the release date had said 2024, which of course needed some updating. The mistake is fixed now, but it did not escape notice. The reported leak seems to give the new Metal Gear remake a release date of August 28th, 2025.
Accidental PlayStation store update might have leaked the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
With a rumored PlayStation State of Play presentation scheduled for next week, it would make sense to have heard some news about the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater during that showcase. If this leak proves to be correct, it could mean we will be getting an official release date sooner rather than later. Though, it’s important to keep in mind that while this did appear on the PlayStation store, this was not an official announcement. The actual release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater could change.
Alongside this release date leak, a trailer for the game also appears to have been temporarily posted to the PlayStation App version of the store page. The trailer has of course been removed, but not before some details were noticed. Of particular interest was an apparent Astro Bot included an Ape Escape level, fans have become nostalgic for the old PlayStation series.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3. The remake will have the developers answered many questions in an interview, but it has been some time since fans heard any news about the remake. If there is a State of Play next week, we might learn more about this supposed release date, but otherwise, we will have to continue to be patient.
