Metaphor ReFantazio – Bad Performance Explained
It seems inevitable these days. – almost every new PC game or port suffers from poor optimalization. Sadly, Metaphor: ReFantazio demo is no exception, with gamers reporting FPS drops and other performance problems.
Some people have speculated that those issues stem from inefficient U utilization. It seems the game is primarily relying on a single U core, which can significantly bottleneck performance, leading to frame rate drops and other gameplay hiccups.
Luckily, there is a tweak you can try:
- Launch the game and then open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
- Go to “Details” tab, and right-click on Metaphor.exe.
- Click on “See Affinity”. If all cores are checked, untick them, leaving only the first core ticked, and click “OK”.
- Rick-click on Metaphor.exe again, select “Set Affinity”, tick all cores, and click “OK”
