Mount & Blade ex-creators move Holdfast: Nations at War into Early Access
Holdfast: Nations at War has been launched in Early Access on Steam. This is a game somewhat similar to Mount & Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars, being developed by some of the people who worked on that title.
Mount & Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars – has been launched in Steam Early Access and has already got a bunch of positive reviews. This is a work of a small studio Anvil Games, founded by former developers of Mount & Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars, and it builds on that game’s mechanics. This time, however, you can take part in large battles in the Napoleonic Era not only on land but also at sea. Up to 125 players can fight in online skirmishes together on one server, but that limit is to be raised in the future.
The developer says that Holdfast: Nations at War will likely leave Early Access within the next 12 months. You can currently jump in the alpha version by purchasing the title on Steam for $19.99 (the price may change after the full release). Anvil says that the community is going to have great impact on the game’s final shape, so Early Access players are more than welcome to share their with the developers.
