New screenshots from Silksong show how familiar locations have changed over 6 years. Devs also have good news for some fans
Hollow Knight: Silksong shows off its charms in new screens. The developers also clarified the release on Nintendo consoles.

New screenshots from Hollow Knight: Silksong have given fans, who have long anticipated this game, something to occupy themselves with.
As internet s have noticed, a few new screenshots from the sequel to the cult metroidvania appeared on the game card on the Japanese Nintendo company's website (via mossbag on X). The screenshots display several locations known from earlier Silksong materials, such as the bell city, Bellhart, which appeared in the first trailer from 2019.
This is the location where the changes made by Team Cherry studio are most visible. The overall project stayed the same, but both the NPC and the atmosphere experienced major changes. We can also observe the missing board linked to one of the long-promised features: the quest system. Perhaps it was just moved to another place?
Minor changes are visible on the other screenshots, though these images also show the progress made by the Australian developer. Some players point out a significantly less "lively" atmosphere in the city. The question is whether this is an effect of style modification or a change that occurs during gameplay.
However, what may be more important for some players is the confirmation of the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong on both the Switch and the Switch 2. Matthew Griffin announced that in a post on X.
It's definitely not an information overload, but it speaks volumes that HK fans haven't gotten this much news in a long time. A short (even very short) gameplay on Nintendo Direct, new screenshots, release date, and finally new screenshots. That's a lot for a game that appeared as Grand Theft Auto 6 of indie games - a title whose developers do not spoil fans with information, even after the official announcement.
Could the sudden "flood" of information (by Silksong standards) actually precede the game's release this year? Let's hope so, because in recent years the desperation of fans has reached its zenith.
