It will be equipped with a 7-inch OLED manufactured by Samsung, which can be counted as a plus. Unfortunately, the resolution will remain at 720p. Despite the lack of 1080p, the OLED will be an improvement over its predecessor. Yoshio Tamura, president of display company DSCC, assured on Bloomberg:
"The OLED will use less battery, offer higher contrast, and likely faster response times compared to the current LCD display found on the Switch."
In addition, the Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to receive a video output capable of transmitting 4K video to our TV, which would make quite a difference from the current 1080p, which often looks poor on large TVs. This step will enable the handheld console to catch up with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in of image resolution.
It is also possible that it will NVIDIA's DLSS technology, significantly increasing performance. This information was provided by an industry insider on ResetEra.
If these reports turn out to be true, then Nintendo Switch Pro may turn out to be a sales hit at the end of 2021 and become the most popular gaming Christmas gift.
