PoE 2 receives more changes, and will let you change Ascendancy class in the future. However, this will require some effort
PoE 2 received an update that, among other things, improves locations and reduces the speed of some enemies. The developers also announced other new features, such as the option to change the Ascendancy class.

Grinding Gear Games kicked off Friday by introducing a new update to Path of Exile 2, announcing the next list of changes that will hit the game next week, and presenting new skill effects.
Update 0.2.0e
The latest update, which is already available on the servers, has introduced all the changes that we described earlier this week. Among the most important ones we will find:
- improvements of too large locations in the 3rd act of the campaign;
- character balance improvement;
- displaying rare monsters on the minimap in the endgame from the very beginning;
- a new ability that prevents the use of charges, but increases our damage;
- slowing down too fast opponents;
- runes intended for spellcasting classes.
Of course, this is only part of the changes - you can find a detailed list on the Path of Exile website.
What's next?
One of the features often mentioned by players is the ability to change the selected Ascendancy class. The devs decided to introduce it, but that won't be easy.
- Players can switch the Ascendancy class by completing the trial again, as long as its level grants the same number of points they currently possess.
- In other words, if we already have, for instance, 6 points in our Ascendancy class, we will not change it by completing a trial that only gives the first 2 points. We need to finish it again at a level that gives a minimum of 6 points.
- that when changing, you will need to have all points reset in the current Ascendancy class.
Besides, the Ultimatum with 7 rooms can be completed starting at level 55, and with 10 rooms starting at level 65.
The creators also addressed the issue with towers and hideouts, which didn't generate the rare monsters needed to complete the map. A larger number of them will be added, as well as an additional drop of a waystone after defeating the last rare opponent.
Small but pleasant changes will also come to the crafting system. Low-level runes will be taken out of the item pool as stronger versions become available. Moreover, an option to add sockets to Scepter-type items will be introduced.
Furthermore, totems will be upgraded, as they were being destroyed too quickly in the final stage of the game. The "Shard Scavenger" ability will become slightly more useful, and a new tab will be added to the skill selection window to display all currently used gems.
New skill effects
Grinding Gear Games has already added the first skill effect sets to PoE 2. Thanks to them, some of our abilities can look much more impressive. Besides, a new set of armor, skins for spears, and various gadgets were introduced.
All these new items are already in the in-game store. You can watch their presentations directly in PoE 2 or on the developers' website.
