Rookies are the first in the world to kill Jastor Gallywix in WoW. Blizzard bans them almost immediately

The first conquerors of the new boss in Season 2 of World of Warcraft: The War Within gained fame—and a ban from Blizzard Entertainment for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The new season of the 10th WoW expansion brought not only important changes in rewards (and more of them). This is also, as usual, a new dungeon and raid. In this case, players needed to battle through eight bosses, culminating in a final showdown with Chrom King Gallywix as the ultimate challenge.

Of course, guilds quickly ed the race to be the first group to defeat the former goblin trade prince at the mythical level of difficulty. The winner was selected very quickly - and not from among the leading teams. This honor fell to RAoV Quality Assurance, who quickly began to receive congratulations, and Blizzard added them to the Hall of Fame.

However, a curious anomaly was noticed just as quickly. The guild founded on March 5th (!) somehow defeated Gallywix before the first raid boss, which it "beat" as the tenth group in the world (via Wowhead / Wowprogress). So it was obvious that the group had used some exploit and Blizzard quickly removed them from the Hall of Fame.

Suspicions quickly arose about whether this guild belongs to the same people who disrupted earlier races in previous WoW expansions (although there is no evidence for this yet) or about their connection with YouTuber Rextroy, whose material may indicate a possible source of the exploit. However, Rextroy usually does not participate in competitions and quickly reports his discoveries to Blizzard. Furthermore, Rextroy himself denied having any connections with the guild.

In any case, the unsuccessful "winners" were banned, and Blizzard patched the loophole, apparently related to access to "internal spells" available only to developers. Apart from that unfortunate episode, players seem to be satisfied with the 2nd Season of The War Within.
