The second season of World of Warcraft: The War Within has begun, bringing new content and big changes to Mythic+ dungeons.

Traditionally, the beginning of a new season introduces WoW players to a new raid, "Liberation of Undermine," where goblins attempt to finally confront the former merchant prince, Jastor Gallywix. Before the players can face him, they must first defeat 7 other bosses.

Besides, Season 2 includes two more Delves adventures (new instances/adventures for smaller groups or even single players), a new dungeon rotation and another dungeon (Operation: Floodgate). Of course, there was also a new PvP arena and changes in class balance, as well as new items to acquire, including rewards for various achievements (for instance, mounts). Blizzard also increased the priority of the quest with hamburgers and hot dogs compared to saving drowning goblin tourists, much to the amusement of the players.

An important part of the update also includes an improved reward system and mechanics in Mythic+ dungeons, which Blizzard mentioned at the end of January. In a nutshell, the progression has been "smoothed out" so that traversing dungeons doesn't suddenly become much harder. Players will receive better rewards for both successful expeditions and failures, ensuring that less experienced characters don't immediately rush to higher difficulty levels.
