Shadow of the Colossus spiritual successor Prey for the Gods funded on Kickstarter
Fans have voted with their wallets for the arrival of Prey for the Gods - a spiritual successor to 2005's Shadow of the Colossus. Having been successfully funded on Kickstarter, the game is headed for PC, XONE, and PS4.
Team Ico’s Prey for the Gods from No Matter Studios has been successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter, having collected half a million dollars – two-thirds more than the developers asked for. According to the current plans, the project is coming out for PC (Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in late 2017.
Prey for the Gods is to combine action-adventure with intense survival elements. You’re going to play as a lone hero sent into a dying ice-bound world, whose mission is to discover the reason behind the never-ending winter. Similarly to the aforementioned Shadow of the Colossus, the protagonist will have to fight with colossal foes. In order to defeat these mighty opponents you will have to find their weak spots and then climb on them. The developers promise non-linear gameplay with multiple possible approaches to duels: you can take your enemies head-on or sneak up on them, and use any weapon you fancy.
