We had "Monsterpatch, which raised $281,000 on Kickstarter has attracted attention. The minimum goal was to get 15,000 dollars (achieved on March 26), and the final public additional threshold requires providing the developers with 300,000 dollars.

The title of Sean Young's project is already a subtle nod to the Nintendo series. However, the sprites posted on the product page and on Steam dispel any doubts about the developers' sources of inspiration. The game from the spot evokes associations with the first installments of Pokemon.

Not to mention that there are actually two versions of the game to choose from, but you won't have to buy them separately. "Edition" - Skyfarer or Aurora - we will choose at the start of a new game.

Besides trainers (or mages) and creatures (MoN), there is a floating continent, 9 clans led by archmages, and monsters linked to them, influencing the strengths and weaknesses of the player's pets. At the beginning, we will choose one of the two MoNs. Our character will also learn magical spells, which will be upgraded during the game.

Elements of life simulation will include the expansion of your own town, with the possibility of shaping the terrain and placing objects and buildings. Of course, first we will need to find the appropriate plans, diagrams, and recipes. The dev also promises extensive customization options for creatures, dynamic battles, and the ability to adjust the pace of fights.

Monsterpatch doesn't yet have a release date, and there is currently a lack of information about the multiplayer mode. The developer aims to create a "cozy" single-player game.
