Silent Hills Borrowed Phantom Pain's Budget? Kojima Responds

Kojima Productions referred to recent rumors about Silent Hills - an article of Gameblog.fr, according to which the creators took money for the project from the budget allocated to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and the demo was created without Konami's knowledge.

The new Silent Hill was supposed to be Kojima's secret project, who found a shady way to finance it...

There have been various rumors about the future of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Kojima was supposed to create a shell company (a fictional company with no office and no employees) in collaboration with Sony to release P.T. on PlayStation Network.

Such serious allegations had to be met with a response, but we had to wait until yesterday for Kojima Productions to answer. Jay Boor, studio's head of communication and marketing, assured that the information contained in the Gameblog.fr's article is "categorically false". His statement was quoted by the company in a Tweet and the French website added an update (although no reference was made to the accuracy of the initial report).

Unfortunately, this is the only rumor the Japanese developer referred to. Of course, it's hard to expect Kojima Productions to be able to comment on new projects from Hideo Kojima.
