Skyrim Mod Enables Us to Gain Cat Followers
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will soon receive a new cat mod. The modification will enable us to take care of a furry friend and take care of its needs - if the capricious pet allows it.

You know what we need more of in Skyrim need? Cats. Darkfox127 thought exactly the same, revealing an interesting modification. His "A Cat's Life" adds cats and related mechanics to the game. The author has been working on his project since 2018, and a few days ago he presented a longer gameplay, which we can watch below.
Mod will enable us to adopt cats in most Skyrim cities. However, it is not that simple, because some of the stray kittens must be convinced to us. The furry cats need to be watched first to see if they are friendly and then improve our relationship with them by offering them food. If we try to "claim" the cat too soon and without gaining its trust first, we can expect in painful scratches. An easier way to do this is to buy a cat, which can be done in one of two competing pet shops (where brand new NPC and voice acting have been prepared). For those who like to pamper their pets there is also an option to buy our cat a bed or collar and of course stroke them.

The modification adds a system of "needs", which requires the player to feed and take care of the pet. If we are not careful, the cat may starve to death, and mistreatment will make the cat run away from us. Darkfox127 says that this particular feature will be in the beta phase during the release, but it can be disabled in the menu. The mod will also add a new perk called "crazy cat person" to the game, but we don't know how it will work or how to get it yet.
The author based the models of cats on another mod that added models of these animals, but he added a number of mechanics and options by himself, thanks to which we can adopt kittens. The mod is slated for release on August 1, 2020 and will be compatible with Special and Legendary Edition of the game. The modification will probably appear on one of the websites, where the author publishes his works, to which links can be found here and here.
