Someone completed 156 taxi fares in GTA Online and made over $2 million. It should sound boring, but it's weirdly satisfying
Ultimate grind? Way too much free time? Or maybe just mastering the art of doing nothing in GTA Online.

I used to think the Post Op Van deliveries were the most painfully boring jobs in GTA Online, until I gave taxi driving a shot. At first, it actually sounded fun: meeting weird NPCs, checking out parts of the map I usually ignore. But after just a few fares, I was completely over it. So how someone managed to do 156 rides and make that kind of money? Beats me.

Reddit KyotoJF actually pulled off 156 taxi fares and made over $2 million doing it. Apparently, it only took 7 hours and 39 minutes. How they kept it together that long without snapping, running people over, or just going full chaos mode is beyond me.
Sure, you could make that kind of cash doing something else, but to be fair, taxi work isn’t that bad option for money grinders. It can actually be a decent and a fun break from the usual grind. Sounds crazy, swapping one repetitive activity for another, but that’s the weird charm of GTA Online. Somehow, even the most mind-numbing jobs can end up being oddly satisfying.
KyotoJF mentioned they did all of this in an invite-only session (no shock there, imagine trying that with randoms in a public lobby). Even crazier, they did it all in one go, no breaks. Gotta respect that level of commitment. They used the Classique Broadway too, and this wasn’t even their first long haul – they’d already done 121 fares before.
Still no clue how they pulled it off without giving in to the urge to go rogue, especially after nailing a good stunt jump (which, by the way, you can actually unlock something if you land 10 of those during taxi work). And let’s not even talk about the female engers who always leave the car door wide open when they get out. But if you look closely on the cab, there’s some blood on the front of the car. That’s from hitting a deer. Thankfully, the enger didn’t seem to care.
Now that I think about it, maybe it really is just about killing time until GTA 6 finally drops next year. Throwing yourself into whatever mindless loop you can find and watching the hours, days, and months fly by. Not the worst strategy, actually.
