StarCraft: Remastered reportedly coming this May
A Korean source claims that StarCraft: Remastered is not only in the works and confirmed by Blizzard, but also planned to launch this year around May or June.
More rumors have emerged about a potential remastered version of the good, old StarCraft. The revelations come from South Korea, the country where StarCraft is regarded almost as a national sport. As spotted on teamliquid.net forums, e-sport-focused website Sports Seoul reports that Blizzard Entertainment is planning to release StarCraft: Remastered this year around May or June. The source claims that Blizzard has secretly revealed details on the project to industry insiders at BlizzCon 2016 and that it is going to be officially announced in Korea as soon as next week.
StarCraft: Remastered is said to offer high-resolution graphics and updated Battle.net service. As for gameplay, the bosses at Blizzard apparently believe there is no need to improve something that is already perfect, so it will be the same as in the original StarCraft: Brood War expansion.

The first time you could hear hints about an updated version of the grandpa of modern real-time strategies was in 2015. This was when Blizzard listed a job offer for Diablo III. Later on, in 2016, Korean website iNews24 reported that an HD version of StarCraft was in the works and soon to be announced, but we’ve heard no confirmation of the news. Is StarCraft: Remastered only a myth or is Blizzard actually doing it in secret?
