Steam's Record-breaking Streak Continues
Four weeks into January and four records - Steam does not slow down when it comes to the number of concurrent s. Last weekend the platform broke the 29 million threshold.

On the third day of the new year reached 28,230,853. Last Monday - as the barrier of 29 million was not broken - we gave up writing about more of te same, but last weekend, and specifically yesterday afternoon, it happened. The number of simultaneously logged in s reached 29,201,174.
It is difficult to find clear reasons for such a trend - it is quite safe to assume that the current situation is the result of several factors. The Dota 2 invariably reign supreme on Valve's platform.
Especially God of War got off to a great start on PC. For details I refer you to the following text.
It's scary to think what kind of numbers will be achieved in February and March, when the long-awaited hits, such as is scheduled to start on January 27. Breaking 30 million concurrent s seems more than certain. Who knows where this train will stop.
