Stellar Blade’s PC version is priced higher than it probably should be in some countries. Steam costs are way above what people expected
Stellar Blade hits Steam with some baggage. This just doesn’t add up at all.

The region lock on Steam that even the developers didn’t seem aware of. And to make things worse, the price tag in some countries is higher than predicted.
Stellar Blade’s Steam pricing
The standard version of Stellar Blade is priced at 59.99 USD, while the Complete Edition goes for 79.99 USD. Over in the UK, that should roughly translate to 49.99 GBP for the standard and 66.99 GBP for the Complete Edition, but the actual costs are a bit higher than that.
If you check the suggested prices for Stellar Blade on Just like with Doom: The Dark Ages, the estimated costs don’t always match what we end up paying.
Now, that’s pretty common in regions with unstable currencies or rapidly shifting markets, and things like local taxes can also play a big role. But even in more economically steady places like the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, we are seeing noticeably higher prices.
Funny thing is, if you look at games from smaller or indie studios, their prices usually line up with Steam’s suggested rates. Take recently released The Precinct (which, by the way, I’m planning to sink my whole weekend into), R.E.P.O., or V Rising – none of them are charging more than what’s expected.
