Action RPG inspired by such hits as NieR: Automata and God of War. In Project Eve we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic world and play the role of a warrior who fights the monsters that have dominated it.
Stellar Blade (formerly known as Project Eve) is an action RPG with a third-person perspective (TPP). It was developed by South Korean studio Shift Up, for which this is the first such large-scale project.
The gameplay presented in Stellar Blade brings to mind such games as Devil May Cry 5.
Plot
The game presents a grim vision of the future, in which the world has been overrun by bloodthirsty creatures (known as NA:tives). Humanity was unable to resist the attackers and succumbed to their brute force in no time.
The main character of Stellar Blade is Eve, who, along with her companions, lands on the devastated Earth to take the fight to the enemy. On the spot she meets Adam, one of the few survivors. Together they go to the city of Xion - once a vibrant place, and now the last bastion of humanity.
Over time, the protagonist learns the history of its inhabitants and faces the chance to change their lives. However, the further fate of the world will depend on the decisions we make.
Gameplay mechanics
Stellar Blade is a dynamic game from the action RPG genre. In a post-apocalyptic universe we visit destroyed cities and wastelands overrun by NA:tives. We deal with monsters mainly with a sword - the basic weapon of the protagonist.
During the clashes we make use of blocks and dodges, which, if performed at the right moment, open the way to impressive combos. We also use Eve's special skills (Beta Skills and Burst Skills), which increase the combat potential of the character. In addition to standard opponents, we will also encounter monstrous-sized bosses - clashes with them require not only strength, but also appropriate tactics.
Technical aspects
Stellar Blade is powered by Unreal Engine 4 - the game offers high-quality graphics made in a manga style. Its director is Kim Hyoung Tae, previously also known for his role as a character designer for mobile games.
