Stuttering, frame rate, and startup problems: Elden Ring Nightreign PC issues might already have a fix
Elden Ring Nightreign launches today on PC, and within the opening minutes, players are experiencing issues. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco might have a fix.

Today, Elden Ring, launches on PC. As with any launch of this scale, players are likely to encounter issues and problems that will be resolved over time. Thankfully, publisher Bandai Namco is already prepared for a few problems and might have some solutions worth trying. If you’ve encountered issues starting the game or are experiencing stutters and frame rate drops, you’ve come to the right place.
Stuttering, frame rate drops, or problems starting: Elden Ring Nightreign issues on PC
A common problem some players have already shared on the Steam discussion page is the inability to start the game. This could be as simple as needing to update or restart your Steam client. However, if that doesn’t work, Bandai Namco also has a potential solution for you to try: Go to “Library” > right-click on “ELDEN RING NIGHTREIN” > select “Properties” > select “Installed Files” > and execute “ Integrity of Game Files.” After this, try rerunning the game.
If you are experiencing stuttering or significant frame rate drops, FromSoftware is “currently investigating the cause.” Apparently, they have “confirmed that some PC configurations using the latest graphic cards may experience frame rate drops…” so don’t panic if this is happening to you. Via the Bandai Namco website, “you may be able to resolve it by setting the graphics settings from the default 'High' to 'Medium' or 'Low' and lowering the screen resolution, as well as installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.”
These helpful tips have been shared on the Elden Ring Nightreign community hub on Steam, as well as on Bandai Namco’s website. Those are both great places to check for updates and community discussions with people who might be encountering some of the same issues.
Just half an hour after Elden Ring Nightreign became available on Steam, the concurrent player count has reached over 250 thousand players, making it the third most played game on Steam, according to SteamDB. This does not include the console players, who will be able to start playing in a few hours.
