Switch 2 on new leaks. Consol is weaker than Xbox Series S, but it's on par with Steam Deck
The Dataminer revealed the Switch 2's GPU clocking. If his information is confirmed, the previous comparisons of Nintendo's console with Steam Deck will gain credibility.

We are probably only a few hours away from the announcement of Switch 2. The latest reports suggest that Nintendo will reveal the console on January 16, but that doesn't mean the end of leaks. On the Famiboards forum, leaker ZachyCatGames revealed what clock speed the Nvidia GPU installed in the Switch 2 should have. The presented data aligns with rumors comparing Switch 2 to Steam Deck.
Switch 2 might be as efficient as Steam Deck
Nintendo fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Switch 2, and the latest reports summarize what we know about the console. When Moore's Law Is Dead channel presented its leaks in August last year, it claimed that the GPU would allow Switch 2 to match the power of the Steam Deck. ZachyCatGames has now confirmed that in portable mode, the graphics will have a clock speed of 561 MHz.
When converted to teraflops, this value is 1.71 TFLOPS, similar to the Steam Deck's approximately 1.6 TFLOPS (via Wccftech). In stationary mode, the GPU clock rate should double, exceeding 1 GHz and giving us about 3.1 TFLOPS. This should result in a decent performance, but as the commentators joked, "Pokemon will still perform poorly."
Beside Steam Deck, a good object for comparison with Switch 2 is Xbox Series S. Microsoft's weaker console has about 4 TFLOPS, which would make it slightly better than Nintendo's hardware. However, the Switch 2 might have an edge, as the Nvidia chip is expected to enable the console to use DLSS, enhancing the frame rate and allowing for gaming in scaled 4K resolution, which the XSS cannot achieve.
Considering that Zachy's information matches the leak from a few months ago, it suggests that the dataminer's information is true. Let's hope we won't have to wait long for confirmation, and alongside the Switch 2 specifications, the most intriguing detail is the price, which is said to be particularly appealing.
