The Chosen exclusive on Prime Video ahead of season 5 premiere. Will the series still be free?

The Chosen is a series that debuted in 2017, but initially went unnoticed. Over time, the popularity of Dallas Jenkins' production, which tells the story of Jesus' life from the perspective of those who interacted with him, began to grow.

Interest in The Chosen was growing, which was later also helped by making the series available on popular streaming services and linear television. And as popularity grew, so did the development of the production, which grew in size, with as many as 7 seasons planned.

The Chosen has a new streaming home

And apparently the whole thing made for an attractive title for streaming services, as the series has found a new streaming home. It has been Prime Video. It will feature all the seasons released so far, as well as the season 5 and the final two installments to be released in the future.

Will The Chosen still be free?

The Chosen season 5 will be released in theaters on March 28, 2025, and will focus on Holy Week. Then in June it will be available on Prime Video in the United States by subscription, and 90 days after the finale it will be available on the show's platform for free. So viewers who watched the production on The Chosen website and app will still have that option, just at a later date.

Dallas Jenkins warned that streaming windows in other territories may vary, so some viewers may have to prepare for a longer wait for The Chosen season 5.
