2 days after its premiere, Netflix has decided on the future of its new post-apocalyptic series, The Eternaut.

A new sci-fi series straight from Argentina, based on the comic book by Hector Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano Lopez, arrived on Netflix on April 30. The production quickly became another hit for the platform, already hitting the top of the platform's charts in several countries the day after its release. Yesterday, in turn, it was already in 27 countries (via FlixPatrol). It's clear that the popularity of the post-apocalyptic series is growing, and Netflix has also recognized its greater potential.
Will The Eternaut season 2 be made?
This is shown by the decision that was announced just 2 days after the series' premiere. According to Deadline, The Eternaut will get a season 2, so fans of the sci-fi production will be able to see how the fate of a group of survivors from Buenos Aires who faced an invisible threat from outer space will continue.
Season 2 is going to be very important. It’s going to dig into a lot of sci-fi concepts that were just pointed out in Season 1, and they are going to be fully blown.
We believe that we will manage to close the whole story in a beautiful way, with probably eight more episodes.
So it looks like we may be getting eight new episodes in the future, if the creators succeed in their plans, and they will close the story that began this year.
