The Shark From Jaws Lands in a Museum
A refreshed model of the shark from Steven Spielberg's Jaws will go to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Here's a video from transporting the giant prop to the museum.
Steven Spielberg's Jaws are now a legendary blockbuster, whose iconic element is, of course, the owner of the eponymous murder tool, the beastly shark. The movie terrified the audience in 1975 and earned a staggering $471 million on a budget of just 7 million.
Anyone curious about what the model of the scary fish used in the movie actually looked like will soon be able to see it with their own eyes at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, which will open in April 2021. It will contain the fourth prop used for the first movie, the only one preserved in good condition. In order to be able to hit the exhibition, it was additionally refreshed by special effects specialist Greg Nicotero.
