“They even took my name away.” Iron Man 3 left such a bad taste in Jenna Ortega's mouth that nothing will convince her to return to the MCU
Jenna Ortega starred in the MCU 12 years ago and has no plans to return to Marvel again. “I count that, then I move on.”.

For many, a role in the MCU is a dream come true and a big opportunity, while for others it's an unpleasant memory they don't want to relive. To the second group belongs Jenna Ortega, who once scored her adventure with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and does not want to return to it again. That one time was enough for her.
Ortega starred in no small production, Iron Man 3, although many people may not her from that film. Her role was small and, as she herself itted in an interview with ET, “they took all her lines out.” It was one of her first appearances and apparently also her last in the MCU, especially since it apparently left a bad taste in her mouth. As she confessed, not only were all her lines cut out, but so was her name.
It was one of the first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out. I’m in Iron Man 3 for a quick second. I take up the frame, I have one leg and I’m the vice president’s daughter. […] They even took my name away. I count that, then I move on.
Not even Paul Rudd, with whom she starred in Death of a Unicorn and who stars in the MCU, could convince Ortega to return during this interview. For her one appearance there was enough. She credits it as her participation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, after which she apparently doesn't need more, even though she ended up playing the nameless daughter of the vice president, who only appeared for a brief moment.
So we shouldn't expect to see Jenna Ortega in the MCU, but we might see her alongside another Marvel star in Death of a Unicorn, which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 28.
