Torchlight 2 is Coming to Consoles
Seven years after the PC release, Torchlight II, the popular hack'n'slash from Runic Games, is finally coming to consoles. The game will launch this autumn.

Perfect World Entertainment had a nice surprise for us, byTorchlight II, an excellent hack'n'slash, which originally debuted in 2012 on PC. Unfortunately, it was not given to which hardware platforms the game will be ported, but given the low hardware requirements of the PC otiginal, we can expect not only Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, but also a Nintendo Switch port.
The Panic Button Games team is responsible for the project. The company specializes in porting PC production to consoles. The team ported Subnautica to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Warframe, Doom and Wolfenstein II: New Colosssus to Nintendo Switch.
Let's remind that Torchlight II was released on September 20, 2012, exclusively on PC. The game was warmly received with an average score of 88% on Metacritic.
Runic Games, the game's original developer, was closed in 2017. Some of its employees, however, formed a new team called Echtra Games, which is currently working on the continuation: Torchlight Frontiers.
It is worth mentioning that Torchlight II is not the only game from Runic Games, which will soon reach new hardware platforms. Perfect World Entertainment also announced that Hob: The Definitive Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch, the improved version of a game from 2017. The launch will take place on April 4, this year. Panic Button Games is also responsible for this project.
