Vikings: Valhalla Casts Actors From The Witcher and Game of Thrones
The cast of the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla has been announced. In the crew we will find actors who had a chance to appear in The Witcher, Game of Thrones or Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

We know the cast of the new series set in the Vikings universe, titled Vikings: Valhalla. Netflix sent out a press release to journalists around the world, in which the company revealed the casting for the said production. The crew consists of both novice actors and stage artists with a bit more experience. It was also very important for the creators that at least part of the cast had Scandinavian roots.
One of the most recognizable actors on the list is David Oakes, who will play Earl Godwin, the chief advisor to the King of England. Previously, we could see him mainly in historical productions such as Pillars of the Earth, The White Queen or The Borgias.
The cast will also be ed by stars who have already appeared in other popular series set in medieval times. We are talking about an actress of Swedish origin, Frida Gustavsson, who so far has only appeared in The Witcher (in the role of Visenna) and the Icelander Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (who in turn appeared in one episode of Game of Thrones and even in the blockbuster Atomic Blonde). They will take on the roles of Freydis Eriksdotter and Olaf Haraldson, respectively.
Among the more interesting names we have to mention two actors of the younger generation, Leo Suter and Sam Corlett. The former has worked on a couple of British dramas, such as Victoria and Sandition, he also appeared in the background in Disney's Maleficent, and in Valhalla he will play a noble warrior, Harald Hardrada. The latter, on the other hand, may be associated with the role of Caliban in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and now he will have the opportunity to play Leif Erikson, one of the main characters in the Vikings spin-off.
Other roles will include Laura Berlin (Emma of Normandy), Caroline Henderson (Jarl Haakon) and Bradley Freegard (Cnute the Great). The show will debut in 2021 and will have 24 episodes.
