Prometheus, but this time, we’re up against a real beast – Typhon. But who exactly is this terrifying creature, and why are so many players frustrated with this fight?
Typhon in Greek mythology
Typhon was one of the most fearsome monsters in Greek mythology, often described as the deadliest creature ever born. He was a primordial giant associated with chaos and destruction, and he was considered a direct threat to the gods of Olympus.
He is the father of many famous beasts, including Cerberus, the Hydra, the Chimera, and the Sphinx, with his mate Echidna. That’s why he’s named: The Father of all Monsters.

When it comes to Typhon’s design in the game, it actually makes sense. He’s supposed to be massive, with hundreds of serpent heads (okay, there’s one as his tongue) and flaming eyes (yep, there’s one in the snake’s mouth and another on his forehead). His roar was said to shake the heavens – and yeah, that’s literally one of his attacks.
Typhon fight in Hades 2 can be challenging
It’s not the toughest fight in Hades 2, many of us found Chronos or Prometheus much harder. But what really bothers some people is the lack of a visible HP bar, making it unclear how close we are to victory. On the other side, some players actually like this, since it lets them focus on the fight instead of constantly checking the boss’s health.
While the fight isn’t particularly long or difficult, it’s definitely intense. The key is to stay focused and dodge his numerous attacks, though I get that it’s hard with all the overwhelming visuals and effects. Just hold out until Zeus steps in to help, then deal as much damage as possible. After that, brace yourself for another wave of attacks before getting your final chance to take him down.
